The surcharge compounds hardest exactly where base invoices already run highest.
The operator takeaway is preventive. Pre-season tune-ups and locked vendor rates convert a ~$500 reactive invoice into a fraction of that — and remove the week-plus wait that turns a hot unit into a retention problem.
